The Poets' Sounds - Creating and Presenting New Works of Speech-Music Literature unfolds from the border area between literature and music. In collaboration with the Cologne-based SprachKunstTrio sprechbohrer, the Literaturhaus Lettrétage has gathered six international authors to open up this field. They will each compose a musical work for three speaking voices, which will be musically interpreted by the sprechbohrer ensemble. Three production workshops will accompany the artistic work. The participants will jointly explore their respective approaches, the potential of the voice as an instrument, the tonal spectrum of language, and questions of notation. The newly created pieces will be premiered by the ensemble sprechbohrer in Berlin in a concert, before audiences can experience them at international festivals and also at the Forum Stadtpark. The current Graz city writer Florian Neuner and the ensemble sprechbohrer act as artistic directors.
